New Delhi, Dec 30 (IBNS): Over 60 flights and 100 trains were delayed as thick blanket of fog continued to disrupt air and rail traffic in Delhi on Tuesday, media reports said.

According to reports, as many as 16 people died in Uttar Pradesh as the entire northern region reels under an intense cold wave.

16 flights were cancelled at the Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi owing to poor visibility. At least 30 trains were also rescheduled, sources said.

The minimum temperature in the national capital was 4.5 degrees Celsius as compared to Sunday’s 2.6 degrees - the lowest recorded in the last five years.

Met department sources said that the maximum temperature is likely to settle around 20 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
