Akhilesh Yadav hints at making uncle Abhayram Yadav contest from Jaswantnagar in LS polls
Etawah, Apr 2 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday hinted that his uncle Abhayram Yadav may contest the Lok Sabha polls from Jaswantnagar Vidhan Sabha seat.
At a meeting of party workers at his Saifai residence on Tuesday where his uncle was also present, the SP president told him , "Be ready to contest the next elections from the Jaswantnagar Vidhan Sabha."
When Abhayram was about to leave, Akhilesh reiterated his statement asking him to "be fully prepared. Do not talk about retreating" to which former nodded saying he will go by his decision.
It is noteworthy that Akhilesh's estranged uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav had been elected as an MLA from the Jaswantnagar Vidhan Sabha seat in 2017. Now, he will contest the Lok Sabha polls from the Firozabad seat as a --Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia (PSPL) candidate, a party he floated recently.
On the other hand, Abhayram Yadav is the father of Dharmendra Yadav, who is the sitting SP MP from Badaun. He is considered to be close to Shivpal and his also seen at his rallies.
