Akshay Kumar donates Rs 1 crore for flood relief in Assam

Guwahati/IBNS: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has donated Rs. 1 crore to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for flood relief as the northeastern state is reeling suffering due to the calamity.

Acknowledging the generosity of the popular actor,  Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal thanked Akshay.

Sonowal said that the actor has always been a friend of the people of Assam and his help would go a long way in easing the ordeal of the people facing the flood.

It may be noted that last year also Akshay Kumar donated Rs. 2 crores towards flood relief, Rs. 1 crore to CM’s Relief Fund and Rs. 1 crore for the safety of the wild animals of the Kaziranga National Park.
