New Delhi, Jan 4 (IBNS): West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra walked out of a pre-budget meet on Wednesday which was called by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

He said he walked out of the meet after making his presentation.

The Finance Minister told media: "I am saying with a heavy heart that I walked out of the meet after my presentation."

He described the state of the country following the note ban move announced by the Centre on Nov 8 as one of 'financial emergency'.

Mitra made the move on a day when the TMC workers are demonstrating across West Bengal over the arrest of MP  Sudip Bandyopadhyay on Tuesday.

Sudip Bandyopadhyay was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with Rose Valley financial scam.
