Ahmedabad, Nov 7 (IBNS): Ahead of the Gujarat assembly election, Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah began a door to door campaign in the state on Tuesday.

The main aim of the campaign is to connect to individual voters.

The campaign is taking place under Gujarat Gaurav Maha-Samapark Abhiyan in the state.

Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi two days ago, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday asked him to deliver or quit his post.

He asked Modi to stop giving his "hollow speeches", while addressing a Gujarat rally.

In an interesting turn to the state election, giving an ultimatum to the Congress, Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) leader Hardik Patel asked the opposition party in Gujarat to clear their stand on the constitutional reservation of the Patidars.

The poll in the state will be conducted in two phases, on December 9 and 14.

The poll counting will take take place on December 18.
