Amit Shah inaugurates development projects and honors Syama Prasad Mukherjee in Jammu visit
In a significant visit to Jammu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived on Friday to lay the foundation stone for several crucial development projects and launch public welfare schemes. The event also witnessed Shah paying homage to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) founder Syama Prasad Mukherjee on his 'martyrdom day'.
Addressing a large gathering at Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu, Shah invoked the indomitable spirit of the BJP's founding father. He attributed the successful abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir to the unwavering determination, courage, and sacrifice of Syama Prasad Mukherjee.
During his visit, the Union Home Minister also took the time to meet with the family members of the victims in the recent Rajouri terror attack.
Expressing his condolences, Shah extended his heartfelt support to Smt. Suraj Sharma and her family, who displayed exceptional bravery and resilience in the face of adversity.
He assured them of the government's unwavering commitment to combat terrorism and reiterated that their courage stands as a testament to India's strength.
In a tweet following the meeting, Amit Shah wrote, "Met Smt. Suraj Sharma and her family, who are the survivors of the Rajouri terror attacks. Their courage and bravery are India's pillars of strength in ending the menace of terrorism. I extended my deepest condolences and assured them of government support."
Amit Shah's visit to Jammu underscored the government's focus on bolstering development efforts, paying homage to the BJP's visionary leaders, and reaffirming its commitment to fighting terrorism.
