Andhra Pradesh: Two students killed, 7 injured as car turns turtle

Chittoor, Mar 25 (UNI) Two class ten students were killed on the spot and seven others, including driver injured seriously, when a car in which they were travelling turned turtle at Kalicherla of Pedamandyam Mandal in this district on Monday.

According to Pedamandyam Sub-Inspector Suresh Babu, eight students of class 10 were proceeding to attend their public examination at Pedamandyam when the accident occurred.

The injured were initially admitted to Madanapalli Government Hospital and was later shifted to Ruia and SVIMS Hospitals, Tirupati for better treatment.

The bodies of the students were sent to Madanapalli government hospital for post mortem.

The deceased hailing from Kalicherla were identified as Srinivas and Mohan.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, Babu added.
