New Delhi, Feb 13 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday unveiled a plaque to mark the inauguration of the new building complex of the Bombay Art Society, in Mumbai calling art as ageless and free from race and religion with no restrictions or limits.

"Art is Ageless, Race, Region or Religion less and Timeless," he said at the inauguration with  Governor of Maharashtra C. Vidyasagar Rao and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

"Art is first in the heart and mind of the artist, then on the paper or canvas. Art can't have any restrictions or limits," he said.

"Art brings our history to life," said the PM.

"Is art only about being the pride of our walls or is art about being the strength of society," he asked, adding that Indian society has influenced three centuries with the strength and the message of art.
