Assam final electoral roll published

Guwahati, Jan 20 (IBNS) : The Chief Electoral Officer of Assam on Friday published the final electoral roll of the state.

The total electorate in the final electoral roll is 2,06,31,891 comprising 1,06,27,005 male and 1,00,04,886 female.

There are 3.70% increased of electorate against the previous draft electoral roll.

The CEO of Assam said that, overall 7.36 lakh electorate increased in the final roll.

The final roll revealed that, highest electorate increased in Darrang district with 5.36% and lowest increased in Sivsagar district with 1.45%.

Apart from Darrang, Sonitpur district witnessed increasing of electorate with 5.11%, Karimganj by 3.67%, 2.14% in Hailakandi, 3.52% in Cachar, 2.08% in Dima Hasao, 2.95% in Karbi Anglong, 4.88% in West Karbi Anglong, 4.58% in South Salmara Mankachar, 4.04% in Dhubri, 3.83% in Kokrajhar, 3.90% in Chirang, 3.36% in Bongaigaon, 2.99% in Goalpara, 3.43% in Barpeta, 3.92% in Kamrup, 2.45% in Kamrup (Metro), 4.28% in Nalbari, 4.43% in Baksa, 4.71% in Udalguri, 3.78% in Biswanath, 3.66% in Morigaon, 4.39% in Nagaon, 4.02% in Hojai, 3.49% in Golaghat, 3.09% in Jorhat, 2.70% in Charaideo, 4.24% in Lakhimpur, 3.03% in Dhemaji, 3.66% in Dibrugarh and 4.64% increased in Tinsukia district.
