Assam Rifles apprehend two active cadres of KNK (N) and avert extortion bid on NH 37

Kangpokpi (Manipur): Noney Battalion of Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) apprehended two active cadres of KNF(N) involved in extortion activities on National Highway 37 near Milestone 35, Kangpokpi district in Manipur.

 The cadres were on their way to deliver extortion threat to the Head of a Construction Company, involved in developmental activities on National Highway 37.

One Pistol with magazine, 5 live rounds and Extortion Demand Letter on letter head of KNF(N) were also recovered when the cadres were apprehended red handed while giving threat to road side working party.

The apprehended cadres and recoveries were handed to New Keithalmanbi police station, Kangpokpi District.
