Assembly polls: Left front marginally ahead in Tripura, Congress leading in Meghalaya

Shillong/Agartala, Mar 3 (IBNS): A tough battle is being witnessed in Tripura where counting of votes for the Assembly polls is currently going on with ruling Left Front slightly ahead in 31 seats.

The BJP is leading in 27 seats out of 59 seats in the state.

Others are leading in 1.

In 59 Assembly seats in Meghalaya, Congress is currently leading in 22 seats, followed by NPP in 11 and BJP in 6. Others are leading in 14 seats.

In 60 Assembly seats in Nagaland, NPF is ahead in 29 seats, NDPP is leading n 26 and others in 2.

All eyes are on Tripura where the fight is going on between the ruling Left Front and the BJP.

Polling was held in Tripura on Feb 18.

In Meghalaya and  Nagaland, people voted on Feb 27.
