Attacks on Hindu temples taking place with govt's indifference: BJP
Vijayawada/UNI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president Kanna Lakshminarayana deplored that idols of Hindu gods were destroyed and a chariot of a temple was burnt in the State during the last few days but the government is saying that some mentally retarded persons carried out the attacks.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he lamented that idols of Hindu gods were destroyed, a chariot of a temple was burnt and a portion of the temple was demolished during the last few days.
But the government is telling one word that mentally retarded persons had carried out the attacks.
The BJP state president lashed out that the attacks on the Hindu temples had increased after the YSRCP come to power.
“I personally feel that the incidents like destruction of idols of Hindu gods and burning of temple chariot were carried out by miscreants on behest of the government," he lambasted.
He slammed that the religion conversions are being carried out indiscriminately in the State in the YSRCP headed government.
Lakshminarayana alleged that SC/ST atrocities cases are being registered indiscriminately against the BJP cadre.
He said that cases under the Atrocities Act case were registered against BJP State Yuva Morcha leader Satyanarayana Reddy, despite he belongs to the SC.
He said that a case under the Atrocities Act was also registered against another BJP leader Bandi Prabhakar in Kadapa.
The BJP state president said that he had brought the issue to the notice of DGP Gautham Sawang but he could not do anything.
He said that the BJP would stage a darna in Kadapa against registering Atrocities cases against the BJP leaders.
