Srinagar, Jan 24 (IBNS): Baramulla has become the first district in Jammu and Kashmir with no surviving militants, a DNA report said.

The police made this claim after three militants were killed at Binner village in the district on Wednesday.

The state's director-general of police Dilbag Singh complimented police and said he expected further consolidation of peace efforts both by the police and the public, the report added.
