Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh contracts Covid-19, hospitalized with high fever

Kolkata/IBNS: West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh on Friday tested positive for novel coronavirus and has been admitted to the High Dependency Unit (HDU) of AMRI hospital in Kolkata's Salt Lake with high fever, sources confirmed.

According to reports, Ghosh was taken to the private health facility at around 10 pm. after his Covid-19 test report came positive.

Doctors said that Dilip Ghosh had fever over 102 F, though he had neither breathing difficulties nor any other comorbidity and his oxygen saturation level was normal.

"Dilip Ghosh is stable and he has been kept under close observation," a doctor said.

Since Ghosh took part in "Nabanna Cholo" rally, he had isolated himself at his New Town residence for the past one week and did not take part in any political actitvity.
