Bihar BJP tipped off about demonetisation: JD(U) on land deals
According to reports, 23 lands have been purchased for BJP party offices in the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the ban on old Rs.500 and Rs.1000 currency notes on Nov 8.
"The state's ruling party has also alleged that the BJP paid less than the circle rate or base cost of the land in some cases and has demanded an investigation," NDTV reported.
"They were aware of the demonetization, so most of the deals were executed in August and September,"JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar.
The government had banned the old high value currency notes in order to curb black money from the market.
