Bihar CM Nitish Kumar gets poorer by the day but son’s assets see rise

Patna, Jan 2 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is going poorer with each passing year.

According to details of assets declared by him on Sunday, the chief minister owned total assets worth Rs 58 lakh (Rs 5.8 million) in 2015

In 2016, however, this came down to Rs 56 lakh (Rs 5.6 million)—a loss of Rs 200,000.

Not only that, Bihar chief minister is even poorer than his son Nishant Kumar.

As per records, right now the chief minister owns total assets worth a little over Rs 5.6 million while his son has assets worth Rs 2.36 crore (Rs23.6 million). .

Kumar owns a lone flat at Dwarka in Delhi as immovable property whereas his son has immovable assets in various location of Nalanda and Patna district.

In contrast, quite many of Kumar’s cabinet colleagues are richer than him. For example, transport minister Chandrika Rai and minister for food and consumer protection Madan sahani claim having Rs 15 lakh (Rs 1.5 million) and Rs 10 lakh (Rs One million) in hand.

Water resources minister Lalan Singh remains to be the richest with a fixed deposit of Rs 1 crore (Rs 10 million) in bank while excise minister Jalil Mastan the poorest among all ministers with a total assets worth only Rs 26 lakh (Rs 2.6 million).
