Patna, Jan 27 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): In a shocking incident, a doctor in Bihar has been accused of removing kidney of a newborn baby, leading to his death.

The horrible incident took place at a private clinic located at Lalachhapar village under Bhore police station in Gopalganj district.

Reports said Priya Devi, wife of Ramdayal Prasad from Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh, was admitted to this clinic after she developed labour pain.

On Jan 21, she delivered a baby boy.

“Suddenly we were told that the baby has died. We waited for the body but was handed over after two hours,” alleged Ram Awadh Prasad, victim’s grandfather.

He said initially they didn’t suspect any foul play and buried the baby. Somehow, he came to know that the doctor had removed kidney of the baby which led to his death, and registered a case with the local police.

Based on police complaint, a team of police reached Deoria and exhumed the body from the grave.

Reports said the police were surprised to see a stitching in the abdomen. The police have begun investigation into the case.
