BJP has brought Tripura back on track of development: Narendra Modi
Agartala: Charging the Congress and Left Front Governments of pushing Tripura backward in terms of development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday claimed that the BJP-led government has brought Tripura on the path of rapid development in just five years.
Modi arrived in the poll-bound Tripura to boost the campaign trail of the saffron party for the election to the state assembly on February 16 next.
In the first rally at Ambassa in Dhalai district he alleged, “Congress and Left only know how to cheat the poor. They can never free the poor from worry. BJP is working day and night to solve all your concerns like your servant and is your true partner”.
Training guns on the Congress and Left, “In Tripura, the installation of optical fiber is going on from village to village. Over three times optical fiber has been laid in Tripura in the last eight years”.
Tripura is going to be the 'Gateway' of South Asia very soon, as the double engine government of BJP working in this direction, Modi underlined.
“Resolution proves that BJP does what you want and we do what is your priority, what you need. We decided to take new steps with new goals in our resolution”, PM reiterated.
Modi has also claimed that earlier in Tripura only cadres affiliated 3with the Left were getting benefits of government schemes but now every citizen is getting benefits of government schemes.
“Police stations were also under the control of CPI-M cadres but the BJP government established rule of law in the state. Violence and backwardness are no longer the identity of Tripura. Earlier only one party was allowed to hoist the flag in Tripura, but today the BJP government has freed Tripura from fear, intimidation, and violence,” he claimed.
This joy and enthusiasm in the gathering truly shows that this double engine of development will not stop at anything and everyone demanding ‘double engine’ government again, he observed.
On the seat adjustment between Left and Congress Modi said, “People belong to Congress and Left are involved in deceit, old players of bad governance have joined hands. Every single vote going for them will push Tripura back. So all you have to do is press the button of lotus."
