Kolkata/IBNS: A day after BJP MLA Mukul Roy rejoined Trinamool Congress, another BJP leader Rajib Banerjee on Saturday evening met TMC spokesperson and state secretary Kunal Ghosh at his Kolkata residence and held hour-long 'talks', sources said.

According to sources, Rajib Banerjee, who had joined the BJP before West Bengal assembly polls but failed to win the contest from Domjur assembly constituency in Howrah, recently expressed his desire to return to his old party.

Though after holding the meeting both Ghosh and Banerjee claimed that it was a courtesy call.

"I came to visit my sick relative near Kunal Ghosh's residence and that's why met Ghosh in a courtesy call, we didn't have any words related to politics," Rajib Banerjee said after coming out of Ghosh's house.

The Trinamool Congress came back to power for the third straight term by registering a major victory in the Assembly polls last month.
