BJP names Prem Kumar Dhumal as BJP's chief ministerial candidate for Himachal Pradesh polls

Shimla, Oct 31 (IBNS): The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday named Prem Kumar Dhumal as its Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh.

Dhumal had earlier served the state as the chief minister two times in his career.

The name was announced on Tuesday by BJP chief Amit Shah.

"In Himachal, BJP will contest the polls under the leadership of Dhumal," Shah announced as he named the party's candidate for the state assembly polls.

The state will go to polls on Nov 9.

Dhumal will contest from Sujanpur seat.
