BJP supporter shouts ‘Vande Mataram’ slogans at Congress PC

New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) High drama was witnessed on Wednesday at a press conference of the Congress party as a self-professed BJP supporter raised slogans of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’ before he was shepherded out by security personnel.

Even as AICC spokesperson Pawan Khera was addressing the media briefing, an alleged supporter of BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath interrupted the press conference objecting to Yogi Adityanath being referred to Ajay Singh Bisht.

"Yogi Adityanath ko Ajay Singh Bisht kehna Bharatiya sanskriti ka apmaan hai (Calling Yogi Adityanath as Ajay Singh Bisht is an insult to Indian culture),’’ he said and began shouting slogans of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’.

However, he was soon after shepherded out by security personnel.

Calling himself Nachiketa, the self-professed BJP supporter was carrying a handout in which he alleged that there had been no development in the Amethi constituency of Uttar Pradesh despite it being represented by members of the Gandhi family for almost five decades.
