Hamirpur/Una/UNI: The core committee of the Himachal Pradesh BJP had a marathon meeting at Una on Friday night and decided to plug the loopholes in the wake of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The meeting was chaired by state BJP chief Suresh Kashyap.

Saudan Singh, All India BJP Vice President was also present in the meeting along with other top leaders.

The meeting decided that the weak booths will be marked in all four Lok Sabha constituencies. And the sitting MPs will stay at these booths.

Apart from this, the BJP team will also reach out to the common people of the concerned areas and tell them what the party governments both at the centre and in Himachal Pradesh had done for them during the last five years.

Rajya Sabha member Indu Goswami will reside in the Mandi parliamentary constituency and will work on strengthening the organization.

In the meeting which lasted for about four hours, a strategy was also chalked out to corner the Congress government. There was a discussion on gathering strength for the Lok Sabha elections from now itself. There was discussion about more focus on vulnerable booths.

In order to corner the Congress and strengthen the booth, the BJP will brainstorm in the State Working Committee meeting for the next two days.

A spokesman of the BJP said on Saturday that BJP State President Suresh Kashyap during the meeting emphasised the need of strict discipline in the party, it was decided that four senior leaders of Mandi who had been expelled from the party would not be taken back.

The defeat suffered by the BJP in the assembly elections was also reviewed in the meeting. Strict action would be taken against those who worked against the party candidates during the election. Such leaders are on the radar of the BJP, he said.
