BJP's film franchise would be Lie Hard: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Dec 23 (IBNS): Continuing the perpetual attacks on the saffron brigade that country had witnessed of late, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday took a dig at the BJP saying if it had a film franchise then it would be called "lie hard".

Rahul in a tweet said: "If BJP had a film franchise it would be called Lie Hard #BJPLieHard #BJPLies #HowManyBJPLies."

The tweet by the Congress President came after his party got a series of reprieves this week.

In a major turnaround in Indian politics, a special court acquitted all accused including former Telecom Minister A Raja and DMK leader M Kanimozhi in 2G scam case, which rocked the previous UPA government.

A Raja, who was a minister in Manmohan Singh government, had to resign after the allegations were brought against him.

On Friday, Bombay High Court rejected Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao's sanction to prosecute former Congress Chief Minister in Maharashtra, Ashok Chavan, in Adarsh scam case.

Chavan was accused of cheating and criminal conspiracy in Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society Case.

Earlier in the week, Congress, bagging 80 seats, restricted BJP to just 99 seats, 16 less to what the saffron party got in 2012.

Meanwhile, five days after the Gujarat poll result, Rahul will pay a visit to the state on Saturday.
