Blast in Bangalore, 2 injured

Bangalore, Dec 28 (IBNS): At least two people have been injured in a blast at Church Street area in Bangalore on Sunday, reports said.

Unconfirmed reports said, the it was a low-intensity blast.

Security officials have rushed to the spot immediately after the blast occurred outside a restaurant at around 8:30 pm.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said he was shocked to hear about the blast.

"Shocked to hear about the #BangaloreBlast. I am in touch with @CPBlr and other Senior officers reg investigation," he tweeted.

"#BangaloreBlast I am told that the Injured are being treated at the nearest hospital," the Chief Minister said.

The incident occurred at a time when the city is gearing up for the New Year celebrations this week.
