Bofors case to reopen, Supreme Court will hear plea in October
The top court said it will hear the plea in October.
However, in the last hearing in December, the CBI said it was not allowed by its authorities to challenge the HC's order in 2005.
Bofors scandal broke out in late 1980s where several politicians from the Indian National Congress (INC) and the then key defence officials were alleged to have bribed by Bofors AB, a Swedish arms manufacturing company, to seal the deal.
Then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's name was also got involved in the scandal resulting in his election defeat three years later.
