Xiamen, China, Sep 4 (IBNS) : Leaders of the five-nation grouping, BRICS, on Monday passed a declaration condemning terrorism in all its forms, reports said.

The joint declaration by Brazil Russia, India, China and South Africa  was passed during the ongoing  9th BRICS Summit in Xiamen.

It is being seen as a major gain for India, which has been trying to highlight the menace, rampant in the sub-continent in the international fora.

"We deplore all terrorist attacks worldwide, including attacks in BRICS countries, and condemn terrorism in all its forms & manifestations wherever committed &by whomsoever & stress that there can be no justification," the declaration read.

It named Pakistan-based LeT, JeM, Haqqani network, Taliban, Al Qaeda, among groups.

LeT has often been accused of perpetrating terror, particularly in Kashmir.

Earlier PM Narendra Modi called for greater cooperation between the BRICS members states for ensuring global stability and peace while addressing the BRICS Summit at the International Conference Center in Xiamen.
