Mansa/UNI: The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered four packets of contraband heroin from the wheat fields near Maharkheva Mansa village in Fazilka district on the international border on the intervening night of April 12-13.

A spokesperson of the Punjab Frontier BSF headquarters said on Thursday that the BSF jawans posted on the border got a clue regarding this.

After the firing, the drone managed to return, but the heroin consignment was seized.

BSF jawans conducted a search operation in the area. Meanwhile, BSF found four packets from the fields near the International Border.

When the packets were opened after a security check, 4.6kg of heroin was recovered.

The value of the drugs seized is said to be Rs 23 crore in the international market.
