Lucknow/UNI: Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the destruction of a Dalit's crops in Madhya Pradesh's Guna, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Thursday said that this government was also working like the Congress.

In a tweet, Ms Mayawati said, "Forcing the couple to attempt suicide after destroying the crop with a JCB machine, which the Dalit family had prepared after taking a loan, in the name of encroachment by the Guna police and administration in Madhya Pradesh, is extremely cruel and shameful. The nationwide condemnation for such an incident is natural. The government should take strict action."

In another tweet, the BSP honcho said that on the one hand, the BJP and its governments make claims of settling the Dalits while on the other hand, incidents of they being desolated are common. Earlier, this used to happen in the Congress rule.

She questioned, "How are both governments different then?"
