BSP-SP attack PM Narendra Modi in Bundelkhand
Jalaun, Apr 26 (UNI) To reinforce its caste based identity the Samajwadi party-Bahujan Samaj party alliance leaders on Friday launched a fierce attack of the caste identity of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling him "Kagazi backward" not a backward by birth like Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav.
Leading the charge Bahujan Samaj party chief Mayawati said "its a well known fact that Narendra Modi is not from the backward caste by birth. He was born in an upper caste family and as chief minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi got his caste included in the list of the other backward castes’’.
"By projecting himself as other backward caste leader Narendra Modi wants to dent the vote bank of the OBCs. Narendra Modi is a fake OBC’’, said Mayawati adding "Mulayam Singh Yadav is the real leader of the OBCs and he made relentless efforts for mobilising the OBCs for ensuring their honour and due share in power structure. Following his father’s footsteps Akhilesh Yadav is also working for the emancipation of the OBCs’’.
The alliance leaders on Friday addressed a joint rally in Orai, in support of the alliance candidates in four Lok sabha seats of Bundelkhand region.
Questioning the credential of the Modi as an OBC leader, Mayawati said "had Narendra Modi been from the OBCs, the social and economic status of the OBCs not been so pitiable’’.
Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav training his guns at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attacked his caste identity. ``During the 2014 Lok Sabha election Narendra Modi had presented himself as tea vendor but there was some intoxicating material in the tea so we mistook him as the leader from the OBCs. He is a fake OBCs’’, said Akhilesh Yadav adding ``You know that the BJP leaders are also known as `Feku’’, so they can use any `Jumla’ (rehetoric) for their narrow political ends.
``Entire country celebrated the alliance of the Samajwadi party and the Bahujan samaj party. Eyes of the entire nation are now fixed on the outcome of the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, so ensure that our votes are not divided and transferred to each other candidates’, said Akhilesh Yadav.
Accusing the BJP of hatching conspiracy to deny the right given to the SC, OBCs by the constitution, SP chief said "the dalits and OBCs had been denied respect and their due share in power structure and whatever little share in power cake they could get is being snatched by the BJP government at the Centre and Uttar Pradesh’’.
``Lohia and Dr BR Ambedkar had together conceived the plan for ensuring social justice for the disadvantaged sections of society. It could not see the light of the day due to the demise of the two leaders. Later Kanshiram and Mulayam Singh joined hands to carry forward the struggle but the SP-BSP alliance in 1993 did not last long. Now we have come together to intensify the struggle for the social justice’’, said Akhilesh Yadav. SP President alleged that even after completing five year term of the government, the BJP leaders are still talking in rhetoric instead of giving their report card of achievement during the last five years since 2014."
