New Delhi/IBNS: Stone pelting was reported from New Delhi's Jaffrabad area on Sunday where an anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) rally was taking place.

According to reports, an anti-CAA protest is also going on in Jaffrabad metro station area.

Heavy security arrangement was deployed in the region since morning.

A clash between pro and anti-CAA protesters led to stone-pelting, reported India Today.

Delhi Police has reportedly fired tear gas shells in  Maujpur to bring the situation under control.

Violent protests have taken place across the nation, including New Delhi, ever since the new citizenship law was passed by the Indian government last year.
