CBI raids chit fund offices in Kolkata

Kolkata, Sept 4 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) on Friday conducted raids at few offices and directors' houses of chit fund company Basil International Ltd. in Kolkata, sources said.
According to reports, few teams of CBI raided Basil International's branch offices and directors' houses at several places including Salt Lake, Kalikapur and Behala in Kolkata.
 
One CBI official told IBNS: "We raided Basil International Ltd.'s branch offices and top official's houses at as many as 15 locations in Kolkata today and have seized many documents."
 
Like Saradha, Rose Valley, MPS and I-Core, North-East India based chit fund firm Basil International also collected a huge number of deposits from the market.
