New Delhi/IBNS: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Friday morning raided Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's residence over the allegations of corruption in the Delhi liquor policy, triggering a massive showdown between the ruling parties of Centre and the capital city, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) respectively.

Sisodia took to Twitter in the morning to say, "CBI is at my residence. I will welcome him. I am extremely honest. I am making a future for lakhs of children.

"It is extremely unfortunate that people, who do good work in our country, are harassed in this way. This is why India is yet to become the number one country."

After the allegations brought by the Centre, the CBI has filed a First Information Report (FIR).

The probe agency is investigating into the Delhi Excise Policy which has handed over liquor shop licences to private players.

Along with Sisodia's residence, 20 other locations across seven states were also raided by the central probe agency.

Slamming Kejriwal and his AAP, Union Minister Anurag Thakur told the media, "No matter how hard a corrupt person tries to prove himself innocent, he will still remain corrupt.

"This is not the first case of corruption by AAP. There has been huge corruption in the liquor stores in Delhi."

Crying political vendetta, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh held a press conference where he said, "The education and health model of Delhi is becoming popular across the world. This has to be undermined somehow.

"If a Prime Minister's mentality is so mean that he wants to stall development in the education and health sector, then how will he lead the country?"
