Chandrababu Naidu's TDP likely to rejoin NDA: Reports
New Delhi/IBNS: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to rejoin the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led coalition, National Democratic Alliance (NDA), six years after snapping ties with the Centre's ruling party, media reports said.
The buzz of Naidu returning to the NDA fold started after the TDP chief met Union Home Minister and BJP top leader, Amit Shah, in New Delhi late on Thursday evening.
The two are likely to even meet on Friday.
In Friday's meeting, Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan is also likely to be present.
JSP has already stitched ties with TDP for the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu, a former ally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BJP, left the NDA in 2018 while he was the Chief Minister of the southern state.
A year later, Naidu was voted out of power as Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP swept the assembly polls.
Not just in Andhra Pradesh, the BJP is also likely to get an ally in Odisha, which is ruled by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
The BJP and BJD are speculated to form an alliance for the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections in Odisha.
