New Delhi, July 19 (IBNS): Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav claimed that China is gearing up to attack India in collaboration with Pakistan.

Speaking in the Parliament, Yadav said: "China has joined hands with Pakistan. It has made entire preparation to attack India."

He even claimed that inorder to attack India, China has even 'buried nuclear weapons' in Pakistan.

Yadav made the remarks amid growing tension between the neighbouring nations.

India's Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar told a parliamentary panel on Wednesday that the China-India standoff in Doklam has has been blown out of proportion, reports said.

Briefing the members, he said that the MEA was trying to thaw the tension diplomatically and that the situation worsened due to excessive jingoism from certain sections in the country.

He also said that Delhi was constantly monitoring the situation with Beijing, keeping Thimpu in the loop.

Attending the meeting, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi questioned if the exacerbated situation in Kashmir was India's diplomatic failure.

Answering another question from Gandhi on China's increasing influence on its neighbours, Jaishankar said that it was the strategy of every country to increase its footprints and a similar approach had been adopted by Delhi too.
