Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit India for second informal summit today

Beijing/New Delhi: Chinese President Xi Jinping will be visiting India on Friday to attend the second informal summit with Indian PM Narendra Modi.

The two leaders had their inaugural Informal Summit in Wuhan, China on Apr 27-28.

Xi will be visiting India from Oct 11 to Oct 12.

"The forthcoming Chennai Informal Summit will provide an opportunity for the two leaders to continue their discussions on overarching issues of bilateral, regional and global importance and to exchange views on deepening India-China Closer Development Partnership," the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
