Kolhapur, July 28 (UNI): BJP state president Chandrakant Patil said here on Sunday that many leaders from Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) want to enter in BJP's fold by their own will not by force.
Addressing a BJP workers rally at Keshavrao Bhosale Natyagrah, Mr Patil claimed these leaders were not frightened for ED and IT raids.
Patil remarks came after NCP chief Sharad Pawar recently in Pune alleged that BJP was trying to frighten both Congress and NCP leaders of raids by Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax department if they do not join BJP.
The BJP state president alleged that there were 'Gharaneshahi' (hereditary) in both Congress and the NCP. "These people ruled the state for 60 years and plundered it," he alleged.
He alleged Mr Pawar did not gave any importance to any worker or leader except his daughter Supriya and grandson Parth, who contested the election from Baramati and Maval respectively.
Patil alleged that Congress-led government never tried to open bank accounts of the people while BJP-led government did so and transffered Rs 50 thousand crore in their bank account.
The BJP state president was here to welcome Congress leader and former MLA Bharmu Patil and former Corporator Ajit Chavan in the saffron party.
