Congress fields Manish Tewari from Anandpur Sahib, Jyotiraditya Scindia from Guna

New Delhi, Apr 12 (UNI): The Congress on Friday fielded AICC spokesperson Manish Tewari from the Anandpur Sahib seat of Punjab and AICC general secretary for Uttar Pradesh West Jyotiraditya Scindia from his traditional seat of Guna in Madhya Pradesh.

Tewari will be pitted against Akali Dal’s sitting MP Prem Singh Chandumajra who had defeated Congress leader Ambika Soni from this seat in 2014.

Jyotiraditya Scindia is a Congress sitting MP from Guna.

The names of Manish Tewari and Jyotiraditya Scindia figure in the list of seven candidates for the Lok Sabha released by the Congress.

The list, cleared by the Central election committee of the Congress and released by AICC general secretary Mukul Wasnik, includes one seat from Bihar, one seat from Jammu and Kashmir, three seats from Madhya Pradesh and two from Punjab.

The list also includes names of Shashwat Kedar from valmiki nagar seat of Bihar, Rigzin Spalbar from Ladakh seat of Jammu and Kashmir, Shailendra Patel from Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh, Mrs Mona Sustani from Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh and Kewal Singh Dhillon from Sangrur in Punjab.
