Congress govts' farm loan waivers have helped BJP leaders, workers: Rahul Gandhi
Tarana, MP, May 14 (UNI): “The Prime Minister may have a 56-inch chest but the Congress has that large a heart.”
These were the words spoken by Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday while addressing an election rally in Ujjain parliamentary constituency where he raised the issue of agrarian debt waiver in Madhya Pradesh and said that the state’s Congress dispensation had remitted loans even of erstwhile chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s relatives.
He got chief minister Kamal Nath announce the names of the two persons in question from the stage.
“The dues of thousands of BJP workers were also set aside. The Congress harbours no detestation for anyone. The PM insults my father, my paternal grandmother and my great-grandfather but throughout my existence I shall not utter a syllable against the Prime Minister’s parents or other members of his family. As I owe allegiance to the Congress – neither the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh nor the BJP – the aversion hurled at me by opponents shall be returned with affection," he said.
"In the 2018 Assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, the Congress defeated the saffron camp with love and shall likewise vanquish Mr Narendra Modi by embracing him in this election. Let him debate with me on the graft issue anywhere. After I speak for 15 minutes on the subject, the PM wouldn't be able to show his face to the country,” Rahul Gandhi said.
