Congress leader says will take care of Modi's mother

New Delhi, May 7 (IBNS): A senior Congress leader in a letter to BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has offered to take care of his mother saying he is distressed to see the elderly woman living in poor condition and travelling in an auto rickshaw, said media reports.
The letter that was published in media said Modi has not provided his mother a comfortable life despite his wealth and the fact that she struggled all her life for her son's future.

"Your mother is like my mother. I have immense respect for her. I may not be as resourceful as you are, but I would request you to allow me to provide her all the necessary comforts of life according to my capacity," said the letter by Congress spokesperson Rashid Alvi as quoted in media.

Alvi said while Modi would travel in private jets and use Mont Blanc fountain pens, his mother lived in a bad condition.

BJP has sharply reacted to the letter and called it a cheap attempt to discredit the PM candidate.
