Congress remains like a ship without captain: Rajnath

New Delhi, Apr 18 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh on Friday slammed the ruling Congress over the issue of naming its prime ministerial candidate and said it is like a 'ship' without a 'captain'.

"The BJP has announced Shri Narendra Modi as its prime ministerial candidate, but the Congress remains like a ship without captain," Singh tweeted.


He attacked the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and said the people of Tamil Nadu should get rid of the two southern parties.

"Until Tamil Nadu is freed from the clutches of the DMK and the AIADMK, the people in the state will continue to suffer," Singh said.

He said the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government lacks 'diplomatic skills in handling sensitive issues like the Sri Lankan Tamil issue'.

"The provision of devolution of power and the political settlements are crucial for the bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and India. Sri Lankan govt. should create conditions conducive to resumption of dialogue and the BJP will work towards this goal after coming to power," Singh posted on his Twitter home page.
