Mumbai/IBNS: On the occasion of the party's 135th foundation day, the Congress took out a massive "Save Constitution" march here on Saturday.

The march took place between August Kranti Maidan and the statue of Lokmanya Tilak near Girguam Chowpatty.

The Congress took to streets to protest against the "divisive and unconstitutional acts" of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.

Speaking to a national news channel, Congress leader and Maharashtra minister Balasaheb Thorat said, "Everything the Modi government is doing is anti-constitution."

The foundation of Congress was laid down on this day in 1885.

Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday morning hoisted the National Flag in the national capital on the occasion of the party's foundation day.
