Covid-19: Himachal Pradesh decides to continue with restrictions on public gathering

Shimla/UNI: The state Council of Ministers meeting led by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has decided to continue the existing restriction and COVID-19 SoPs including night curfew in four highly infested pandemic district of Himachal Pradesh till Jan 5, 2021.

The CoMs has also decided to put a ban of social gathering and other activities on Christmas and the New Year's eve.

To counter the outbreak, CoMs took major decisions to grant ex post facto permission to operationalise ‘makeshift hospitals’ at Shimla, Nalagarh, Tanda and Nerchowk in the public interest at a cost of Rs. 1.37 crore, Rs. 2.36 crore, Rs. 3.44 crore and Rs. 6.11 crore respectively.

The Cabinet also gave its consent to create Pain and Palliative Care Cell under the Radiotherapy Department in Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla for providing better health facilities to the people.
