Covid-19 Outbreak in India: Elderly woman dies in Karnataka's Vijyapura

Bengaluru/UNI: A 62-year-old COVID-19 positive woman succumbed to the deadly virus in a Vijayapura hospital on Tuesday morning.

With this, the death toll in the district rose to three and in the state toll tally to 28.

The woman was suffering from Asthma.

Deputy Commissioner Y S Patil said a total of nine people, including her son, have been kept under quarantine.

The district administration will perform her last rites as per COVID-19 protocol, he added.
