Debris of missing Coast Guard Dornier found
"#ICGDornier Major Breakthrough achieved in locating the missing aircraft," Principal Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence Sitanshu Kar tweeted.
"#ICGDornier Debris located by ROV Support Vessel, Olympic Canyon, thru TX detected by INS Sindhudhwaj," he said.
He said the vital Flight Data Recorder and one Line Replacement Unit of the ill-fated aircraft have been recovered.
"#ICGDornier Debris located in position 17 NM frm nearest land & approx 20 NM SE of Cuddalore in 950 m depth," he tweeted.
The Dornier aircraft of the Indian Coast Guard went missing in June with three crew members while on a surveillance sortie over the seas.
