Delhi faces huge traffic jam as more than 2 lakh revellers gather at India Gate

New Delhi, Jan 1 (IBNS): Delhi traffic turned merciless on the first day of the new year as 2.5 lakh revellers gathered at the India Gate on Monday.

According to the police, the turnout of revellers was seven times of what was expected.

People struck in traffic jams have been criticising police on Twitter.

Earlier in the evening, the Delhi Police have warned people on Twitter and advised Delhiites to avoid the India Gate.
