Delhi man, 24, dies of electrocution in gym

New Delhi: A 24-year-old man was electrocuted while exercising on a treadmill at a gym located in the Rohini area of north Delhi, said media reports.

The victim, identified as Saksham Pruthi, held a BTech degree and was employed at a Gurugram-based company.

He was a regular at Gymplex Fitness Zone in Rohini Sector 15. On Tuesday at around 7.30 am, he collapsed while working out on the treadmill.

The postmortem examination later confirmed that the cause of his death was electrocution.

Police have arrested gym manager Anubhav Duggal.

A case h culpable homicide not amounting to murder and negligent conduct with respect to machinery.

Further investigation in the matter is on, said police.
