New Delhi/UNI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said his government has decided to import 18 oxygen tankers from Bangkok and 21 ready-to-use oxygen plants from France to overcome shortage of oxygen in the national capital.

"The Delhi government has decided to import 18 oxygen tankers from Bangkok and they will start arriving from tomorrow and for this we have requested the Centre to allow use of Air Force planes," Kejriwal said, while addressing a digital press conference here.

Talks are on with the Centre in this regard and he is hopeful that talks will be successful.

"This will resolve the issue of oxygen transport," he said.

Kejriwal further said the Delhi government is importing 21 ready-to-use oxygen plants from France.

"These plants can be used immediately. These will be installed at different hospitals and it will help in overcoming shortage of oxygen in those hospitals," Kejriwal said.

He further said that 44 oxygen plants will be installed within one month in Delhi.

The Chief Minister said out of 44 oxygen plants, 8 are being installed by the Centre while remaining 36 are being installed by the Delhi Government.

Kejriwal said out of 36 oxygen plants, 21 plants are being imported from France and 15 plants are from India.
