Devendra Fadnavis re-elected Maharashtra BJP legislature party leader
Mumbai, Oct 30 (UNI) Amid a week-long battle of attrition between Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena for the post of Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis was re-elected on Wednesday as the leader of the Maharashtra BJP legislature party.
The BJP had emerged as the single largest party with 105 seats in the polls while its alliance partner Shiv Sena was victor on 56 Assembly segments.
Both parties had contested the assembly elections in alliance.
In the 288-member House, the magic number for forming the government is over 144.
