Dreaded criminal arrested in Bihar

Bhagalpur, Mar 9 (UNI) Police today arrested a dreaded criminal from Nayatola village under Kahalgaon police station area in this district.

Kahalgaon deputy police superintendent Manoj Kumar Sudhanshu said that the notorious criminal Shashidhar Mandal alias Pahalman Mandal was arrested from a house on the basis of specific intelligence input.

He said a country pistol and some live cartridges were recovered from his possession.

Sudhanshu said the nabbed outlaw, a native of Tintanga village under Gopalpur police station area in the district. More than six cases of murder, loot, extortion and other unlawful activities were pending against him at Gopalpur and Naugachhia police stations in the district.

An intensive interrogation of criminal is on to nab other members of his  gang, police officer added.
