Mumbai/IBNS: Actress Rhea Chakraborty, who has been arrested in connection with the drug angle related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, will remain in jail custody till Oct 6 as her judicial custody ended on Tuesday, a court here said as per media reports.

Chakraborty and her brother Showik have requested a bail from the Bombay High Court. The plea will be taken up on Wednesday.

The NCB has so far arrested at least a dozen people including Rajput's girlfriend Chakraborty and her brother Showik, the late actor's household staff Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant.

NCB is the third central agency to join the probe into the death of Sushant, after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The NCB got into action after the ED came across chats pertaining to drug consumption, procurement, usage and transportation in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

Rajput was found dead at his own flat in Mumbai's Bandra on Jun 14.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash and the CEO of the company in which she is employed has been summoned by the NCB as the probe agency is widening its probe into the alleged Bollywood-drug nexus.

Apart from the two, Rajput's manager Shruti Modi and former talent manager Jaya Saha have also been summoned.
